Minute 91 welcomes Soccer Academy of the Americas (ACADEMY) who represents the world renowned Spanish Soccer Club, Real Madrid in Miami. Soccer AA will be participating in several national and international tournaments promoting youth soccer.
Through this column, we will update you on everything that happens weekly, the tournaments we will participate in, games and accomplishments of the ACADEMY. We will also update you on soccer news around the world, important games and world leagues, such as: LA LIGA; SERIE A; EPL; CHAMPIONS LEAGUE; WORLD CUP NEWS; EUFA; COPA AMERICA, the IN and the OUT on everything having to do with soccer around the globe.
For our first ever ACADEMY news bulletin, we like to congratulate our U16 State Champion team who just this past Sunday, March 15, 2009, crowned themselves pre-season Champions in the U17 age bracket of the South Florida United League, defeating Kendall Soccer’s U17 in spectacular fashion 3-0 through two incredible goals by Stefano La Rosa and an equally impressive rebound shot by Jeremias Cuadra.
The ACADEMY is equally proud of its U18 squad who lost in the finals of the U18 age bracket to Cagliari 3-1; the U16 Castilla who made it into the semifinals loosing in extra time on a golden goal; and the U11 squad who also made it into the final. To all the players, parents and coaches of these truly outstanding squads, the ACADEMY SALUTES and CONGRATULATES YOU for your efforts and accomplishments which signal a very bright future for our ACADEMY in the upcoming State Cup tournament and beyond.
In the European leagues, we take a special moment to herald the overwhelming triumph of Real Madrid FC over a very difficult opponent, Atletico Bilbao 5-1; which helped keep the points difference at the top of the table in a very tight race; next on our radar is Inter Milan who defeated Fiorentina 2-0 and continues its galloping run through the SERIE A in its race for the “SCUDETTO”; and the astounding win of Liverpool over the EPL’s leader, Manchester United 4-1. With this win, Liverpool closes the gap at the top of the table to only 4 points for the EPL title.
Look for Minute 91 every week and I hope to be able to bring you news like this and others dealing with the ACADEMY’s teams’ wins and accomplishments.
Now for the IN y lo OUT of soccer:
IN: The scoring of Pippo Inzaghi’s “SUPPER-PIPPO”, 300th goal in one of the toughest leagues in the world, the SERIE A.
OUT: The tragic death of Heidar Kaze who played for Sinyer, a team in Hilla, a small town 100 km from Baghdad, Iraq who after scoring a goal for his team is shot to death by an opposing fan. Violent events of this magnitude are inconceivable to fans and lovers of the game of futbol.

Minuto 91 le da la bienvenida a SOCCER ACADEMY OF THE AMERICA (SOCCER AA) la cual representara en la Florida el afamado club REAL MADRID de España, esta academia será protagonista de múltiples torneos nacionales e internacionales en pro del futbol infantil y juvenil.
En esta columna nos dedicaremos a informarles todo lo que acontecerá alrededor de SOCCER AA, sus torneos, juegos, acontecimiento, desarrollo y etc., los mantendremos al tanto de todas las noticias del futbol profesional mundial, los juegos más importante que hagan historia, torneos como: LA LIGA, SERIE A, PREMIER LEAGUE, LA CHAMPION, EL MUNDIAL DE FUTBOL, COPA EUROPEA DE NACIONES, COPA AMERICA, lo IN y lo OUT y todo acontecimiento futbolístico importante alrededor del globo.
Nuestra primera noticia es para el triunfo de la U16, el flamante campeón del Estado de La Florida que el domingo se adjudico el campeonato de la Pre temporada del sur de La Florida, venciendo a la oncena de Kendall S.C. U17 por 3 a 0 con 2 estupendos goles de Stefano La Rosa y un remate fenomenal de Jeremías Cuadra. Además el orgullo de SOCCER AA de llevar a la fase final las oncenas de la U18 Madrid, la cual perdió la final con el Cagliari por 3 a 1, la U16 Castilla que cedió en la semifinal en tiempo extra con gol de oro y la U11 que perdió también en la final. A todos los jugadores y entrenadores, les extendemos las más grandes felicitaciones por tan extraordinario esfuerzo que realzan el prestigio de la ACADEMIA y auguran grandes éxitos en el próximo e importantísimo torneo del STATE CUP.
En cuanto a las ligas europeas, tenemos el triunfo arrollador del Real Madrid ante el dificilísimo Atlético de Bilbao por 5 goles a 1 donde esta semana no logro reducir la diferencia de 6 puntos del líder Barcelona, el Inter de Milán que sigue su galopada a la conquista del “SCUDETTO” ganándole a la Fiorentina 2 por 0 y manteniendo la ventaja de 7 puntos a la Juventus y el increíble Liverpool que bailo y goleo al Manchester United por 4 a 1 y se le acerco a tan solo 4 puntos.

Ahora la sección de lo IN y lo OUT:
IN: La conquista del gol 300 de Pippo Inzaghi “SUPER-PIPPO”, en una liga tan difícil de anotar goles como la SERIE A de Italia.
OUT: El trágico acontecimiento en Hilla, una población a 100 Km. de Bagdad Iraq, el jugador Heidar Kaze, luego de anotar un gol, un fanático del equipo contrario saca un revolver y le dispara dándole muerte al jugador. Acontecimientos de violencia como este, son inconcebibles para los amantes del futbol
